From a card idea to a testable program

Start with the person.
Then test the purchase.

Who receives the card, who pays, and what should happen at checkout? Appen puts those decisions into one editable model.

Test three purchases

Your controls, every authorization.

The proposed External Auth model puts every authorization decision on APPEN. The program manager has said it will not filter transactions for us once this is enabled. No response within one second means decline.

The initial issuing proposal is corporate-funded virtual prepaid cards for individuals or business-authorized AI agents. A webhook does not approve different funding, functionality, branding or client structures; these still require Operations review.

Combine category and merchant restrictions, spending caps, repeated-use limits, conditional branches and human review. The current sandbox executes bounded declarative rules; it does not run arbitrary JavaScript or for loops.

The planned authorization integration must return a decision within one second. Open Performance on a test decision to inspect local rule timings. Browser timing excludes network and issuer time and is not a production latency claim.

Read the execution limits

Approvals are a separate step.

A purchase needing human review does not wait indefinitely at checkout. The sandbox records a pending request; a later approval allows a retry only if current controls still pass.

Confirmed · not contracted

External authorization decisions.

A program manager has confirmed External Auth: Appen must answer every authorization within one second. No response means decline; no transaction filtering on the manager’s side is assumed. The agreement is not signed and production performance has not been measured.

Real cards and final pricing.

The initial proposal is corporate-funded USD virtual cards for individuals and authorized software delegates. Client/sub-client structure, artwork, permitted rule variation and product setup still need written Operations approval. No signed issuing agreement, production issuer credentials, live cards or committed launch date. Pricing will follow confirmed partner costs. No payment is required to use this sandbox.
